It’s powered by a 20-volt Max lithium-ion battery that offers a longer lifespan and retains its charge 5x longer than Black & Decker’s 18-volt NiCad batteries–and this package includes two batteries so you can keep one charged while using the other. The battery is also designed with 50 percent less battery weight, and the unit weighs a total of 5.2 pounds with battery installed.

It features a Groom’N'Edge head that can be rotated 180-degrees for quick switches between cutting and edging tasks along with Black & Decker’s Automatic Feed Spool (AFS) system, which uses centrifugal force to dispense more line whenever you need it for added predictability and dependability–no bumping required. Other features include a telescoping pole that easily adjusts to your preferred height, flip-down edge guide, 7500 RPM motor, and 0.065 line diameter.

The included Energy Star-qualified charger will charge a fully depleted battery in about 8 hours. You can also swap the battery among your other Black & Decker cordless lawn tools that are compatible with 20-volt Max lithium-ion batteries. It’s backed by a two-year limited warranty.
